Join us as a: Database Developer/Administrator

This role has an emphasis on reporting, MySQL, and T-SQL development on the MS Azure platform. The DBA reports to the Head of Development and has as their key role the planning, design, and implementation of database structures in support of multiple software applications under development at II and reporting. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, coupled with very strong technical skills, and be able to build deep expertise in relational and non-relational technologies.

In this role you’ll get to:

• Design/modify scripts, views, and stored procedures that store/retrieve data

• Participate in database design and redesign as needed

• Administer Azure SQL Server and MySQL Servers and Databases

• Design and support of Data Warehouse database

• Create and modify Azure pipelines

• Perform data modeling and normalization tasks

• Enforce company database standards

• Write documentation

• Perform code reviews

• Optimize SQL code

• Perform data conversion and data management

• Participate in team meetings

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Knowledge of SQL Server development components (stored proc, views, triggers, functions) and SQL

tuning best practices

• Extensive experience in data modeling and database design (OLTP, OLAP, and Dimensional), including

star schemas and cubes

• Experience with BI technologies (ETL, Data warehouse, Reporting Tools)

• Experience with Azure database technologies

• Experience with PowerBI reporting tool

• Experience with SQL Server Profiler

• Experience managing multiple MS SQL Server and MySQL instances on systems that must run 24x7

• Experience in closely supporting developers working in the full SDLC as it applies to relational database

implementation and maintenance

• Experience with the creation/maintenance of Data Bricks

• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Advanced skills in Transact-SQL (T-SQL)

• Minimum: 3 years of experience working as a SQL server database developer and/or DBA

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CIS or related course of study

• Experience with SQL Server replication

• Experience with AWS Database Technologies

• Practical experience in database monitoring and tuning

• Exposure to Salesforce development
